我是小萨发明人何林仙。我在2014年开发出了11孔小萨。销售了两年时间。我发现11孔小萨难倒了不少的初学者。因为双手十个手指全部都要用到。新手要顾嘴，又要顾手。不少琴行、学校原计划培训小萨乐器，因不易上手而放弃。对新手来说，先要入门，增加他们学习的信心。我开发的小萨，用户吹了两天就让她睡大觉，不是我愿意看到的。

基此理念，我决定开发一种简单易学的小萨。葫芦丝、竖笛等这些好吹的乐器多数是8孔或7孔。经不断研究测试，最终确定开发8孔小萨。7孔只能做到一个八度的音域，这种音域可吹的曲子少之又少。8孔的，有9度的音域。虽然只增加了一度的音域，但可吹的曲子多得多。

其实很多歌曲就是按9度的音域来谱曲的。这些歌都是8孔小萨可吹的：《义勇军进行曲》《涛声依旧》《美丽的神话》《明天你是否依然爱我》《青春舞曲》《大海啊故乡》《外面的世界》《在那遥远的地方》《雪绒花》《奇异恩典》《爱的罗曼斯》《蓝色的爱》《生日快乐歌》……这里只列出了很小一部分8孔小萨可吹曲子，我们看到大量经典歌曲、流行歌曲都是8孔小萨可以很方便的吹奏的。

8孔小萨直接使用标准的萨克斯笛头，今后转学萨克斯，嘴上功夫完全相同。由于直接使用萨克斯笛头，音色可以很象萨克斯。有次我录了萨克斯吹的和8孔小萨吹的，然后让我夫人听，她居然不能区分哪个是小萨吹的，哪个是萨克斯吹的。

总之，我建议新手要选择8孔小萨！8孔小萨我研究了2年时间。音色、外观、品质等方面，比11孔小萨更胜一酬。另外，29页的8孔小萨的《入门教程》，更是我精心编著，教程里包含有乐谱，以及声的示例、伴奏音乐（电脑上查看时，双击教程里的图标就能听到声音）。
